ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Hina) - The income of Croatia's largest engineering concern, Koncar, in the first six months of 2001 amounted to 683.3 million kuna (US$81.3 million), namely 4.8 percent more than in the same period the year before,

concern, Koncar, in the first six months of 2001 amounted to 683.3
million kuna (US$81.3 million), namely 4.8 percent more than in the
same period the year before, Koncar officials said in a statement

Of this amount, 634.5 million kuna (US$75.5 million) or 92.9
percent is business income, while the remaining 48.8 million kuna
(US$5.8 million) or 7.1 percent are financing and extraordinary
incomes.
The income realised by the sale of Koncar products and services in
the fist six months of 2001 amounted to 609.2 kuna (US$72.5
million), namely 1.2 percent more than in the same period the year
before.
The sale on the domestic market amounted to 336.1 million kuna
(US$40 million), or two percent less than last year.
The most significant buyer on the domestic market is the Croatian
Power Supply Company which holds 22 percent in the overall sale and
41 percent on the domestic market.
The sale of the Koncar concern on foreign markets amounted to 273.1
million kuna (US$32.5 million), or 45 percent of the overall sale.
In relation to the same period in 2000, the export increased by 5.5
percent.
In the first sic months of 2001, Koncar exported its products to
over 40 countries and the majority of the export was for Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Nigeria, France, Slovenia, United Arab Emirates,
Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Macedonia.
