OPATIJA CONVENTION OPATIJA, Sept 29 (Hina) - A three-day European Network of Election Monitoring Organisations (ENEMO) founders convention ended in the Adriatic city of Opatija Saturday. The convention was organised by the Croatian
non-government organisation for election supervision "GONG", sponsored by the Croatian Foreign Ministry, and attended by the Foreign Minister, Tonino Picula. ENEMO was founded in order to enable the non-government organisations monitoring parliamentary, presidential and local elections to cooperate by setting up a joint data base, exchanging experts and data, educating its members and supporting the newly founded groups. ENEMO's main goal is for all its members to be at the same educational and operative level within a year of its founding. ENEMO members include Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, Albania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belorussia and Croatia.(hina) js
