Pavilion is keeping 69 works by renowned U.S. artist Andy Warhol, which have been selected for a travelling retrospective on Warhol's life and art, pavilion director Radovan Vukovic said today. The works of art arrived this morning by plane from Istanbul in air-conditioned boxes. The boxes have to undergo 24 hours of acclimatisation before they can be opened, said Vukovic, adding this was why the exhibition would be set up on Monday. Curators will have to finish their work by Sept. 11, when the Arts Pavilion opens its doors to all who want to see Warhol's paintings, including those of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy, as well as the legendary examples of the earliest pop art, the Coca-Cola cans and the Campbell soup.
