ZADAR, Sept 28 (Hina) - The county court in the central Adriatic town of Zadar on Friday sentenced a local poacher fisherman to five and a half years imprisonment for killing two German divers last summer by using dynamite to catch
fish. The panel of judges ruled the 45-year-old Dragutin Jakovinovic was guilty of manslaughter, endangering general security, and poaching. Two other indictees, Klaudio Jakovinovic (27) and Andjelko Ilic (51) were acquitted. The three men killed Wilhelm Klopfer and his son Andreas by using explosive to catch fish near the Pag Bridge on August 10. Today's ruling is the result of an expanded indictment in which the state prosecutor changed the charge of premeditated murder to manslaughter and poaching with explosive.(hina) ha sb
