SARAJEVO, Sept 26 (Hina) - The Defence Minister of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mijo Andric, on Wednesday warned that an investigation against 15 Croats from the central Bosnian town of Zepce, suspected of war crimes, would
have negative consequences for the security in the country and the ruling Alliance for Changes. Protesting against the investigation, Anic forwarded a letter to the High Representative for Bosnia, Wolfgang Petritsch, stressing that the court in Zenica "is neither ready nor capable to process possible war crimes committed in the Zepce region." Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mijo Andric, on Wednesday warned that an
investigation against 15 Croats from the central Bosnian town of
Zepce, suspected of war crimes, would have negative consequences
for the security in the country and the ruling Alliance for
Changes.
Protesting against the investigation, Anic forwarded a letter to
the High Representative for Bosnia, Wolfgang Petritsch, stressing
that the court in Zenica "is neither ready nor capable to process
possible war crimes committed in the Zepce region."
The Federation's Minister also reminded that the International
Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) neither showed
interest in the Zepce case nor authorised the Zenica Canton Court to
start the procedure.
Andric said the court in Zenica was unacceptable because the
court's judges are former members of the Army of Bosnia-
Herzegovina, and the trial could result in a complete chaos and
anarchy making room for similar trials in every municipality in
Bosnia.
