RIJEKA POSTPONED INDEFINITELY RIJEKA, Sept 18 (Hina) - The war-crimes trial to the retired Croatian Army General Mirko Norac and four other suspects of the so-called Gospic group at the Rijeka County Court was postponed indefinitely
Tuesday because of the poor mental condition of the principal defendant Tihomir Oreskovic. The court-appointed neuro-psychiatrists, summoned at the request of the defence yesterday, determined Oreskovic was not able to follow the proceedings. During examination, Oreskovic told the psychiatrist he felt imperilled because of the threats to himself and his family, and yesterday's attack by his co-defendant Mirko Norac. He will be sent to a Zagreb prison hospital for a two week observation. The Court will be notified of the results.
