BELGRADE, Sept 12 (Hina) - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic stated Wednesday his country feared the attention of developed countries will turn to their internal security and stability in the aftermath of Tuesday's terrorist
attacks on the US, which would result in "the decrease of their interest in other countries." However, Djindjic told the Belgrade press he believed the developed countries' governments would not "be hasty", and will put more effort into solving the world's crises so to "decrease the possibility of escalation of violence on a global level." Djindjic feels developed countries should concentrate on prevention of violence through "investing into other countries' economies, society and employment of young people", which would prevent the "spread of radicalism". BELGRADE, Sept 12 (Hina) - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic
stated Wednesday his country feared the attention of developed
countries will turn to their internal security and stability in the
aftermath of Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the US, which would
result in "the decrease of their interest in other countries."
However, Djindjic told the Belgrade press he believed the developed
countries' governments would not "be hasty", and will put more
effort into solving the world's crises so to "decrease the
possibility of escalation of violence on a global level."
Djindjic feels developed countries should concentrate on
prevention of violence through "investing into other countries'
economies, society and employment of young people", which would
prevent the "spread of radicalism".
It would not suffice if the only message of this tragedy was
stepping up security, because achieving total security is
impossible, Djindjic said, adding "the world will not be the same,
politically, economically, or psychologically", after
yesterday's tragedy.
