BELGRADE, Sept 6 (Hina) - Head of the joint Yugoslav and Serbian state board for Kosovo Nebojsa Covic stated in Belgrade on Thursday, after returning from the trip to Brussels and Berlin, he received "assurances" from the
international community "that the November 17 elections in Kosovo do not automatically mean its independence". Covic told the press "the final decision" on whether the Kosovar Serbs will vote at the elections was not yet reached, because their demands of free movement and the return of refugees had not been met. During his visit to Brussels, Covic met with the NATO Secretary-General George Robertson, and while in Berlin, he was received by the Foreign Affairs Minister Joschka Fischer, and the Defence Minister Rudolf Scharping.(hina) js
