MOSTAR, Aug 28 (Hina) - The presidency of Bosnia's Croat National Congress on Tuesday officially confirmed its president and the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party, Ante Jelavic, would appear at a hearing before the
Sarajevo cantonal court on Wednesday. In a request for an investigation of Jelavic and six of his associates, the Sarajevo cantonal prosecutor's office charged them with jeopardising Bosnia-Herzegovina's territorial integrity by advocating Croat self-rule, which the Croat National Congress proclaimed in March. At today's emergency session, the congress presidency stood by Jelavic's side. "All members of the Croat National Congress of Bosnia-Herzegovina, about 20 of them, will appear with Jelavic before the cantonal court in Sarajevo tomorrow (Wednesday)," the secretary-general of the congress, Niko Lozancic, said.
