SARAJEVO, Aug 28 (Hina) - Part of Canadian troops in the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina will leave the country for Macedonia in order to join NATO forces in that country in charge of collecting weapons from the
Albanian rebels and implementing a peace deal between Macedonian authorities and the rebels. Andrew Coxhead, SFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, said on Tuesday 150 Canadian troops in Bosnia would be sent to Macedonia, where they should stay a month and then return to Bosnia, he said. At least another 200 Canadian troops will be sent to Macedonia directly from Canada. A company of Turkish SFOR soldiers was sent to Macedonia on Monday. The temporary relocation of SFOR troops will not affect the operative ability of the Stabilisation Force, in which Canada participates with some 1,600 and Turkey with some 1,000 troops.(hina) rml
