ZAGREB, Aug 17 (Hina) - The number of overnight stays made in Croatian campsites rose by 14 percent to 7.2 million in the first seven months of 2001 as against the same period in 2000. Motor camps in Istria and Kvarner (northern
coastal area) accounted for 80 percent of the realised overnight stays in the January-July period, while camps in Dalmatia accounted for 20 percent. German holiday-makers were the largest foreign group staying in Croatian camps. According to the Croatian Camping Association's secretary, Jerko Sladoljev, this sector of tourism is likely to register a 15-percent increase to some 12.5 million overnight stays this year in comparison to last year.(hina) ms
