ZAGREB, July 20 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Monday received a delegation of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans' Association to discuss current issues and the issue of the employment of Homeland war veterans and
difficulties in the work of their associations. Commenting on recent events regarding Hague indictments against Croatian generals Rahim Ademi and Ante Gotovina, president of the Association Damir Curik reiterated the Association's standpoint, namely that everybody is innocent until proven guilty by a final verdict and should be given a possibility to defend himself. We call upon all those with documents, which could help the defence of the Croatian generals, to hand them in. The association believes that this is not the attack on Croatian generals, because there are about a hundred generals, these are individual cases, Curik said.
