INTERIOR MINISTRY UNIONS PLAN FURTHER ACTIONS

ZAGREB, Aug 9 (Hina) - Three Interior Ministry unions held a two-hour meeting today planning further actions after ministry officials refused to respond to an invitation for talks. The public will be informed of the conclusions of the meeting at tomorrow's news conference. The coordination of the Croatia's police union, the union of state and local officials and the independent union of ministry officials on Wednesday set a deadline for Interior Minister Sime Lucin and police director Ranko Ostojic to respond to the unions' call to hold talks with unionists within the next 24 hours. After the two senior officials failed to reply, the unions met again today to decide on future moves. Dissatisfied with the government placing 3,100 ministry employees at the government's disposal, the unions are requesting that the ministry care programme for redundant employees, the internal order rule-book, and the new systematisation of
