ZAGREB, Aug 6 (Hina) - About 3,100 employees of the Interior Ministry, redundant according to the ministry economising programme, today began receiving documents making them available to the government, while 709 employees have been
given notice, ministry spokeswoman Zinka Bardic said. Bardic explained the 709 employees were dismissed, with up to six months notice. Most are deliverers, cooks and maintenance staff, she said. Other employees are police officials who have been made available to the government, during which time they will be receiving full pay and retaining all rights to pension and health insurance, Bardic stressed. The government can transfer them to another ministry. About 200 employees should be employed with the mine-clearing agency "Mungos", and other offices are expected to be opened in other ministries, for example the posts of rangers with the Environment Protection and Urban Devel
