ZAGREB, July 26 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday gave the green light to the national oil company (INA) to increase of price of natural gas as of 1 August. According to a statement released after its closed-door session,
the Ivica Racan Cabinet endorsed changes to the concession contract with the Croatian Telecommunications (HT). Thus, the price for international phone calls will be cut by about 50 percent. The fare for access to the Internet will also be reduced. The listing of the registered calls will be free of charge. The government appointed Nikola Pavlovic as its commissioner for Dubrovnik until a new election for the town assembly, set for 16 September 2001. The recently elected councillors iin Dubrovnik failed to elect Mayor within the defiend time-term, and that's why the government had to appoint the commissioner.
