OSIJEK, July 17 (Hina) - Persecution of three more Croatian high-ranking army officers could be expected soon, Marinko Liovic, President of an association of disabled war veterans said on Tuesday's public stand in Osijek, called "A betrayal of Croatian national interests through the extradition of Croatian army officers to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY)". Liovic described President Stjepan Mesic and Premier Ivica Racan as most responsible for the betrayal of national interests. Once the authorities' change happens, they will be accountable for treason, negation of the Homeland War and division of Croatian people, he said. Similar public stands will be held in all Croatian regions under the same name, said Liovic, adding this is the only way for organisers of such panels to speak about the betrayal of national interests as they are denied access to the media.
