U.S. CITIZENS OF ALBANIAN ORIGIN FOUND IN MASS GRAVE IN SERBIA

WASHINGTON, July 15 (Hina) - The bodies of three American citizens were found in one of the mass graves near Petrovo Selo in Serbia, the Washington Post reported on Sunday. The bodies of Ylli (24), Agron (23) and Mehmet (21) Bytyqi were unearthed in a common grave together with 13 other victims, while 59 people were buried in another nearby grave. Hands tied with a rope, with black hoods over their heads, the victims were shot from a close distance, the journalists of the Washington daily reported. The three brothers lived in New York's Long Island. They voluntarily joined OVK (Kosovo Albanians' armed units), along with other 400 American Albanians, in a fight against Slobodan Milosevic's regime. Apparently, they were caught near the village of Medari at the end of July 1999, and under unexplainable circumstances taken to a Serbian prison.
