bodies has been discovered near the Petrovo Selo village in the
north-east of Serbia, sources close to judicial authorities told
the Yugoslav state agency Beta today.
The sources claim the bodies are not from a refrigerator truck which
was sunk into the Danube in 1999, but are the remains for which it is
not known from where or how they got there.
The grave is located near a training centre for special Serbian
police forces.
The sources said competent organs are following up on a statement by
as yet unnamed person who claimed that about 1,000 bodies were taken
to Serbia during clashes in Kosovo.
Exhumation has started on a mass grave in Batajnica near Belgrade
last week. It is presumed that the grave contains bodies from the
refrigerator truck, but also the remains of other persons from
Kosovo.
Interior Minister Dusan Mihajlovic has said this is not the only
mass grave. This one, and two more possible mass graves are located
near military training grounds in Batajnica. Unofficial sources
claim the mass graves should contain between 800 and 900 bodies.
