ZAGREB, June 20 (Hina) - A delegation of the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS) today laid wreaths at Zagreb's central cemetery in memory of June victims. On June 20, 1928, Serb radical Punisa Racic assassinated Croatian members of
parliament, brothers Stjepan and Pavao Radic, and Djuro Basaricek. Racic killed Pavao Radic and Djuro Basaricek right there in parliament, and heavily wounded Stjepan Radic who succumbed to his wounds in August 8 the same year. The assassination was carried out at the instigation of the Radical Party whose founder, its president and carrier of the Greater Serbian policy, was Nikola Pasic. Stjepan Radic was the main opponent to Greater Serbian policy. Stjepan Radic was born near Sisak 130 years ago, and with brother Antun, founded the Croatian People' Peasants' Party which, changing its name and surviving various regimes and bans, lives until today under the name Croatian Peasants' Party.(hina) l
