Experts working on the exhumation of remains discovered in a Batajnica mass grave earlier on have dug up some 30 bodies thus far. The graves are believed to contain the bodies of ethnic Kosovo Albanians who were killed in the southern Yugoslav province in the spring of 1999. They were transported aboard military trucks to other locations in Serbia for burial. Apart from Batajnica, mass graves have also been discovered at a military range near Petrovo Selo and other locations in the Timok region in eastern Serbia.(hina) ha
