ZAGREB, July 11 (Hina) - An assistant to Croatia's Foreign Minister, Nenad Prelog, supported on Wednesday Hungary's law granting Hungarians living in neighbouring countries special treatment and certain benefits. Prelog voiced this
view at a meeting with the head of the Office for Hungarians living outside Hungary, Tibor Szabo, in Budapest on Wednesday. Addressing reporters, the Croatian official said the law "will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral ties and will not have a negative effect on the good relations between the two countries," the BBC cited Hungarian sources quoting Prelog as saying. Szabo said the law was in line with the interests of Croatian Hungarians and therefore in line with the interests of the majority people.
