LINIC ANNOUNCES CONTINUATION OF SALE OF STATE PROPERTY

ZAGREB, June 28 (Hina) - Croatian vice premier Slavko Linic on Thursday announced the continuation of the sale of state owned shares in companies, adding this was a better solution than increasing taxes in economy or incurring debts. "We must sell property and we will continue doing this until we revive the economy and employ at least 200,000 people registered at the Croatian Employment Bureau. We believe we will have to manage things this way for another three years," Linic told reporters during a break at the international economic conference on countries in transition, held in Dubrovnik, Thursday. He also announced the sale of the Dubrovacka Banka by October 2001.(hina) it sb
