SKOPJE, June 22 (Hina) - Clashes in the village of Aracinovo, a dozen kilometres away from Skopje, continued on Friday evening. Many houses in that village, held by ethnic Albanian rebels, were in flames. After a short break on Friday
afternoon, Macedonian forces resumed their artillery attacks on that area. The severest resistance was offered by armed Albanians situated between Aracinovo and the village of Brnjaci, according to the Macedonian television. On Friday evening there was sporadic exchange of fire in the Kumanovo crisis area after the Macedonian forces prevented a group of Albanian guerrillas from crossing via the village of Nikustak in the Aracinovo area, a spokesman for the Macedonian army, Blagoja Markovski, said.
