PAZIN, June 21 (Hina) - Ivan Jakovcic, a former Croatian minister in charge of the country's bids to enter European integration processes, on Thursday was elected as County Prefect of Istria. During the founding session of the
assembly of Istria County, 32 councillors voted for Jakovcic, while eight were against at secret ballot. Stevo Zufic, who was the previous Istria County Prefect, was unanimously elected as the chairman of the county assembly. Both Jakovcic and Zufic are members of the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) political party.(hina) ms
