SIXTH GENERAL HDZ ASSEMBLY ENDS WITH ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION

ZAGREB, June 17 (Hina) - The sixth general informative assembly of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) ended Sunday night with the adoption of the final Resolution. The Resolution states the "HDZ will persevere in carrying out the intra-party democracy and prevent any party member to undermine the work of the party and implementation of the party programme with their irresponsible and parallel actions". The Resolution states the HDZ will continue carrying out the policy of protecting and promoting Croatian national and state interests, and finding solutions out of the economic and social crisis. At this assembly the HDZ again confirmed itself as a central party of the Croatian people and all Croatian citizens, the Resolution further reads. Advocating the development of the spirit of mutual recognition in the Croatian political life, the HDZ called on all political parties to respect the will of the voters in the process of constituting local authorities. At the end of the assembly, a Resolution on the goals and directions of HDZ actions to overcome the economic crisis in Croatia was also adopted. The Resolution states the HDZ resolutely advocates a quick revival of economic activities, which demands greater investments, foreign investments, and opening the country up to other countries.
