BELGRADE, June 19 (Hina) - The International Criminal Tribunal for
the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Chief Prosecutor, Carla del Ponte, has
postponed her visit to Belgrade, planned for Friday, ICTY
spokeswoman Florence Hartmann was quoted by a Belgrade agency,

Carla del Ponte was to hold talks with Yugoslav and Serbian
officials on the cooperation of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
(Serbia/Montenegro) with the Hague-based Tribunal prior to her
departure to New York where she is going to submit a report on the
Tribunal's work to the UN Security Council.
On Thursday del Ponte will travel to Germany. On Thursday also, the
Yugoslav parliament will discuss and possibly pass a draft bill on
Belgrade's cooperation with the ICTY. The draft law was adopted by
the Yugoslav government last Tuesday.
The ruling DOS' coalition partner, a pro-Serbian Montenegrin party
SNP, however, has announced it will vote against the bill as the
document envisages the hand-over of Yugoslav citizens to the ICTY.
Del Ponte was in Belgrade last January and it was her first visit to
the FRY since the ouster of Slobodan Milosevic and his regime.
