BELGRADE, June 11 (Hina) - The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Vuk Obradovic, was forced from office Monday over accusations of sexual harassment when the parliament in Belgrade supported a proposal from Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic
that he be sacked. Obradovic, a 54-year-old former general, had denied allegations of harassment made against him by women colleagues. His Social Democracy movement is one of 18 parties in the reformist block that ousted former president Slobodan Milosevic last year. Prime Minister Djindjic told deputies the accusations against Obradovic had also been damaging for the ruling DOS alliance. Most DOS leaders agreed in an internal meeting last month that Obradovic should quit after the accusations, but Obradovic refused to step down.
