ZAGREB, June 7 (Hina) - Croatia will finally settle the refugee, displaced person and returnee issue in the next 18 months, an obligation Development, Immigration and Reconstruction Minister Radimir Cacic assumed during Thursday's
talks with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Ruud Lubbers. Cacic assumed the obligation to have the entire issue settled in 18 months, which means that all who fled Croatia and now live in Yugoslavia but want to return will be enabled to do so, Lubbers told reporters at the end of a two-day visit to Croatia. Earlier today Lubbers also met Prime Minister Ivica Racan. On Wednesday he visited the Nova Gradiska, Okucani, and Vrbovljani areas. Cacic estimates about EUR60 million is required for refugee care, as the head of the UNHCR Mission to Croatia, Rob Robertson, said. Part will be ensured by the Croatian government and part is expected from the international community.(h
