Drnovsek said the agreement had to be reached and an end put to the
situation which was provoked three years ago when Croatia's power
supply from Krsko was cut off, which Slovenia believed would
strengthen its negotiating position. He added that there had been
lobbies on both sides which wanted to prevent the two countries from
reaching an agreement.
"The criticism that we have given in too much to Croatia represents,
to say the least, a type of behaviour that is unacceptable in the
modern democratic world," Drnovsek said, adding Croatia would
start receiving power supply from Krsko as of July 1 next year.
