SLOVENE PREMIER COMMENTS ON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT AGREEMENT

LJUBLJANA, June 11 (Hina) - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek said on Monday the agreement on the Krsko nuclear power plant he and his Croatian counterpart Ivica Racan reached on Saturday was fair and added the criticism that he had given in too much to Croatia was an attempt of lobbies to prevent the resolution of that issue. "The agreement is very fair and it defines financial obligations which were not defined previously, enabling us to settle our mutual claims and obligations," Drnovsek told a news conference in Ljubljana today. Drnovsek said the agreement had to be reached and an end put to the situation which was provoked three years ago when Croatia's power supply from Krsko was cut off, which Slovenia believed would strengthen its negotiating position.
