CAKOVEC CAKOVEC, June 8 (Hina) - The Italian company Calzedonia from Verona will build a stocking factory in the northern Croatian town of Cakovec. The company has purchased 10 hectares of land worth 3.16 million kuna from the town.
Calzedonia's executive director Francesco Ruffoli, said his company planned to build a plant with 440 machines for the production of stockings, ironing and finishing operations. The plant will produce 17 million pairs of stockings annually and employ 260 workers. Calzedonia later plans to build another plant with the same number of machines and employees and a plant for the manufacturing of cotton and thread, Ruffoli said.
