BELGRADE, May 20 (Hina) - Half of Serbia's citizens cannot think of one crime Serb soldiers committed in the war in the region of the former Yugoslavia, a "Strategic Marketing" poll shows. The poll, presented today in Belgrade at an
international conference entitled "Searching for Truth and Responsibility", shows most of those questioned were well briefed about "crimes committed against Serbs", while most of them deny Serbs committed any crimes at all. The poll which was carried out in April, shows that the Serbs deem the biggest culprit for the war was the late Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman. Former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic comes in second, and is followed by Alija Izetbegovic, while the fourth and fifth places are reserved for former US president Bill Clinton and state secretary Madeleine Albright. interests, and only in traces, Serb nationalism.
The questioned Serbians gave the most positive marks for the
'defence of Serbism' to war-crime indictees Ratko Mladic, Radovan
Karadzic, Zeljko Raznatovic-Arkan, Milan Martic and Slobodan
Milosevic.
