ZAGREB, May 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, General Petar Stipetic, on Tuesday held talks with United States Ground Troops Commander Montgomery C. Meigs on bilateral cooperation. The two officials told reporters
after the talks cooperation between the two countries' armed forces was good adding the United States and Croatia would promote the cooperation in the future. Apart from joint Croatia-American military manoeuvres, the United States forces will participate in joint activities within bilateral cooperation and our membership in the Partnership for Peace programme, Stipetic said. According to him, this will bring Croatia closer to joining NATO. Stipetic said the talks also focused on the education of Croatian Army members in the United States, adding the United States supported the idea.(hina) it
