SPLIT, May 2 (Hina) - A protest has been announced to take place in Split due to the dismissal of the management board chairman and editor-in-chief of the Slobodna Dalmacija daily. A newly-established Committee for the Defence of
Slobodna Dalmacija, founded by the central Committee for the Protection of the Dignity of the Homeland Defence War, in association with some dozen political parties and associations are organising the rally. The Committee's president Mirko Condic said the dismissal of Josip Jovic was expected, but still stunned a large number of citizens, claiming this was proof that, the mouths of all those who think differently should be closed and they should not be permitted to voice their own stances.
