HIGH REP. IN BOSNIA HASN'T BEEN OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED ABOUT HDZ OFFER

SARAJEVO, May 4 (Hina) - The Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Bosnia has not been officially notified of the Croatian Democratic Union's willingness to discuss solving the current political crisis but the doors to dialogue for all who are not engaged in illegal activities remain open, a spokesperson said. The OHR knows about the HDZ party's offer of political talks only from media reports, OHR spokeswoman Alexandra Stiglmayer told Hina in Sarajevo on Friday. She said the OHR and the entire international community had long insisted on finding a political solution to the present crisis which would be based on dialogue, as well as on HDZ's return to legal bodies of authority. The spokeswoman said the OHR welcomed announcements of HDZ's willingness to return to the institutions of the system and the possibility that it might urge the Croat component of the armed forces of the Croat-Muslim federation to resume their duties. There will be no talks on political issues in Bosnia with anybody who has been replaced by the High Representative or has engaged in bodies of the Bosnian Croat self-rule, Stiglmayer said.
