HERCEGOVACKA BANK STOCK HOLDERS HOLD EXTRAORDINARY SESSION

MOSTAR, April 9 (Hina) - During Monday's session, Hercegovacka Bank d.d. stockholders hired attorney Josip Muselimovic to represent and protect the interests of the injured party - stockholders, employees and clients of Hercegovacka Bank, in which the Office of the High Representatives and NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) last week introduced provisional administration. Hercegovacka Bank stock holders said in a statement the bank appointed representatives for talks with officials of the OHR, the Finance Ministry of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Federal Agency for Banking and the Bosnia-Herzegovina Central Bank on the unblocking of the bank. Hercegovacka Bank stockholders called on Cantons' interior ministries to protect the premises, equipment and documentation of the bank and prevent the confiscation of bank's property. Hercegovacka Bank spokesman Milan Sutalo told a press conference the Bank, management board and stockholders would demand compensation for damage done to the bank. The spokesman denied the statement of the High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch under which criminal activities had been conducted in the bank. "The Hercegovacka Bank management board harshly denies the statement of the High Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina on great unentered amounts in the bank. These are new lies by which the High Representative is deluding the public", Sustalo said. (hina) it sb
