BELGRADE, April 30 (Hina) - Detention for former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic has been extended on Monday, his attorney Toma Fila told Belgrade-based news agency Beta. Fila said detention for his client was extended "for the
same reasons" that it was first ruled, on April 1, but was unable to provide further details, which are expected later in the day. The former Yugoslav head of state was ordered a one-month detention on the first of the month due to the risk of influencing witnesses and fleeing the country. Milosevic and another three former senior officials have been charged with damaging the state budget for DEM800 million. Quoting sources from the Court of Justice, the Serbian state television said last Friday that Milosevic's detention could be extended for another two months.(hina) ha
