ZAGREB, April 26 (Hina) - First civil and public servants' salaries according to new coefficients will be paid in mid-June and the base pay will not be 4,551 kuna but less, First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic said at a government
session on Thursday. Mid-June is the minimum time we need to carry out all necessary activities, Granic said speaking about a decree on job titles and job complexity coefficients in public services the government formulated today. By mid-June, extensive activities will have to be carried out, including the issuing of certificates on new coefficients, defining the complexity factor and make a simulation of funds needed for the payment of salaries according to the new coefficients, Granic said. Deputy Justice Minister Ranko Marijan said the new decree on
coefficients equated head nurses in county hospitals or clinics,
teachers, social workers, lawyers working in social welfare
services and opera choir singers.
There is no ideal system but we consider the decree the least
unfair, Marijan said.
