Participating in the assembly, to last until tomorrow, is also a Croatian delegation, headed by Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac. The EBRD has in its ten years invested 17.5 billion euros, which mobilised an additional 44.5 million euros of other investors, thus proving to be an important lever of development. The Croatian delegation, which along with Minister Crkvenac also
includes Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic, Croatian National Bank
Vice Governor Boris Vujcic, and the president of the Croatian Bank
for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) management board, Anton
Kovacev, today met with representatives of the Nordic Investment
Bank (NIB). Framework conditions for a long-term NIB loan, which
should be granted through the HBOR, have already been agreed. The
two sides today discussed concrete cooperation projects, with
emphasis on shipbuilding, farming and food industry.
The Croatian delegation is expected to meet EBRD president Lemierre
and EBRD Secretary-General Anton Mario Costa tomorrow.
The potential of Croatia's economy will be presented tomorrow at a
business forum which is taking place simultaneously with the EBRD
assembly.
