ZAGREB, April 11 (Hina) - There is a surplus of some 3,700 employed at the Interior Ministry, including 2,000 authorised officials, Minister Sime Lucin said on Wednesday during talks with representatives of the Croatian Police Union
(SPH). Lucin pledged the surplus would be resolved through job redistribution within the Interior Ministry and a programme providing care for the surplus labour in cooperation with the SPH. Lucin and the SPH agreed today the ministry would deliver a job plan to the union next week. The union will have three weeks to submit remarks and suggestions. Salaries in the Interior Ministry will not undergo cuts, said Lucin. He agreed with the SPH negotiations on work agreements should begin as soon as possible.(hina) ha
