ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - Croatian deputy parliament speaker and president of the parliament's foreign affairs committee Zdravko Tomac on Tuesday received a delegation of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE),
which included ambassadors Herre Ladsous and John de Fonblanque. The Croatian parliament's media and public relations office said in a statement that Tomac informed OSCE officials of the situation in the region. Tomac stressed that the OSCE represented the main force which should initiate long term resolutions, and Croatia was ready to give its full support. Addressing the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, he said it was necessary to implement a Constitutional Court decision on the quality of being constituent of all three peoples and pass new electoral regulations. Asked about the return of displaced persons and refugees, Tomac
said that all political obstacles had been removed, but considering
its economic situation, Croatia needed financial assistance of the
international community.
Tomac also expressed satisfaction with cooperation between the
OSCE and Croatia. Also present at the meeting was head of the OSCE
mission to Croatia Bernard Poncet.
