Minister Mircea Geoana, has joined in the criticism of the latest

the Croat National Assembly's (HNS) decision to establish Bosnian
Croat self-government.
Geoana's spokesman Luke Zahner told reporters in Sarajevo on
Tuesday the OSCE chairman was concerned about the conclusions the
HNS adopted at the Mostar meeting of March 3, which were contrary to
the constitutions of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, thus violating the Dayton agreement.
The OSCE chairman believes Bosnia-Herzegovina finally has a new,
moderate government, which is able to initiate the much needed
economic reforms, strengthen state institutions and secure the
return of refugees to their pre-war homes.
He also believes the establishment of the new state council of
ministers and the election of the new bodies of authority on the
federation level mark a historic step of the country toward
European integration processes, the more so as the country's
citizens deserve new leadership, which will be able to protect
individual and collective rights.
The extremist rhetoric of the HNS and the decision to establish
illegal parallel institutions in the Croat-dominated cantons
threatens positive developments, the OSCE chairman said in a
statement.
Geoana called on all political forces in the country to respect the
existing constitutional regulations.
