SARAJEVO, March 4 (Hina) - Head of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina Robert Barry denounced decisions reached at Saturday's convention of the Croat National Assembly (HNS) in

Barry stressed the Mostar meeting resulted in unilateral decisions which are contrary to the Dayton Agreement and the Bosnian Federation Constitution. Although the international community is prepared to continue dialogue with legally constituted bodies of authority in Bosnia-Herzegovina, including members of the Presidency, it will not cooperate with illegal and unconstitutional bodies founded at the HNS session, the statement said. SARAJEVO, March 4 (Hina) - Head of the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina Robert
Barry denounced decisions reached at Saturday's convention of the
Croat National Assembly (HNS) in Mostar, and warned about the
irresponsible and anti-democratic conduct of the member of the
Bosnian Presidency and president of the Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ), Ante Jelavic.
Barry stressed the Mostar meeting resulted in unilateral decisions
which are contrary to the Dayton Agreement and the Bosnian
Federation Constitution.
Although the international community is prepared to continue
dialogue with legally constituted bodies of authority in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, including members of the Presidency, it will not
cooperate with illegal and unconstitutional bodies founded at the
HNS session, the statement said.
The Mostar meeting was marked by an extremist rhetoric which
clearly showed a complete lack o vision within the HDZ about how to
lead forward the Bosnian Croat people, Barry said.
The HDZ acts have nothing to do with a struggle for true interests of
Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the statement read.
If the HDZ cares to represent Croats, the party should participate
in bodies of authority and so contribute to a permanent electoral
law, Barry said.
