PRISTINA, March 27 (Hina) - 25 Kosovo Albanians have been released from Serb prisons on Tuesday. Accompanied by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the prisoners arrived in Pristina from where they
left for their homes in Kosovo. The Albanians released from prisons in Nis, Belgrade and Cuprija were convicted of terrorism. According to data of the Kosovo ICRC Mission, there are still 436 Kosovo Albanians imprisoned in Serb prisons, while 1,593 have been released so far. Based on a recently passed amnesty law 218 Albanians have been released. The Kosovo committee for human rights stressed that after two years since the fighting in Kosovo, the whereabouts of almost 3,200 Albanians are still unknown.(hina) lml
