ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - The budgetary revenue in January totalled 2.95 billion kuna (approx. $343 million) while expenditure reached 3.57 billion (some $415 million), thus resulting in a 619.8 million kuna (some $72.07 million)
deficit, the Finance Ministry said on Wednesday. The deficit was financed by debts on the domestic market, namely loans from business banks, and the issuing of treasury notes. This January's revenue was 32 percent lower than in January 2000 owing to a lack of capital revenue. This year, current revenue accounted for 99.3 percent of the entire revenue. Expenditure was 10.1 percent higher than in January last year.(hina) ha
