SARAJEVO, March 20 (Hina) - The House of Nations of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Parliament on Tuesday held its constituent session in Sarajevo and the process of the establishment of new authorities was thereby finished, following the
December 2000 general elections. Deputies, previously elected by the parliaments of the two entities - the Croat-Moslem Federation and the Republic of Srpska - chose Ilija Simic of the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS) as the chairman of the House of Nations. The house's vice-chairmen are Sejfudin Tokic, of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as the representative of the Bosniak (Moslem) people, and Nikola Spiric of the Serb Democratic Party (SDS). At the founding session there were no representatives of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), as this party opposed rules under which deputies were elected for this part of the legislative authorities.(hina) ms
