ZAGREB, March 9 (Hina) - At Friday's closed session, the government adopted draft amendments to the law on compensation for property confiscated during the Yugoslav communist rule. As this is a law of great importance to Croatia and
needs to be discussed at length, the government will forward the amendments to regular parliamentary procedure, not urgently, the government's public relations office said. This is why the government will ask the Constitutional Court to extend the deadline for the adoption of the amendments to July 1, 2001. At Friday's session the government appointed Srecko Vukovic new director of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, while Dunja Vidosevic, former director, was relieved of this duty at her own request.(hina) lml
