CUSTODY EXTENDED FOR WAR CRIMES SUSPECTS

ZAGREB, March 12 (Hina) - The Zagreb County Court on Monday extended custody to two suspects of war crimes in Ahmici, Ante Sliskovic and Tomislav Vlajic, for a month and three days. Their defence attorney has appealed to the Croatian Supreme Court, claiming Sliskovic and Vlajic have been detained for more than six months. As no indictment was levelled against his clients within a six-month investigation, attorney Leo Andreis holds they should be released according to law. Sliskovic and Vlajic have been suspected of war crimes in Bosnia's central town of Ahmici in 1993, and of forging documents. They were arrested last September.(hina) lml
