ZAGREB, Feb 2 (Hina) - Croatia can help neighbouring Bosnia through initiatives enabling Bosnian Croats to have full-right participation in the development of an integral Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia's premier and the international
community's high representative in Bosnia agreed in Zagreb on Friday. Prime Minister Ivica Racan and Wolfgang Petrisch pointed to the importance of priorities the international community set in view of strengthening joint institutions, reforming the economy, and improving refugee returns to Bosnia, the Croatian government's Public and Media Relations Office said in a statement. Racan stressed the Croatian government was interested in contributing to the improvement of the situation in Bosnia. High Representative Petrisch said the Croatian government had had a very positive effect on neighbouring Bosnia, having played a constructive role since the January 2000 elections.

High Representative Petrisch said the Croatian government had had a
very positive effect on neighbouring Bosnia, having played a

Given the current political insecurity in Bosnia and the dire
economic and social situation of its Croat population, it is
imperative to launch initiatives and assistance to ensure their
future in a unified Bosnia, said the government statement.
Racan agreed it was necessary to endorse specific initiatives and
launch projects to provide for and encourage Bosnian Croat refugee
returns.
Racan and Petrisch concluded all political parties in Bosnia should
follow and express their political will exclusively in accordance
with Bosnia's constitution.
Both agree to pursue with partnership in implementing the Dayton
peace agreements, and working out cooperation between the Croatian
government and Petrisch's Office in view of helping Croats in
Bosnia.
