ZAGREB, Jan 16 (Hina) - The World Bank mission is on a visit to Zagreb between January 16 and 25 aiming at the establishment of a final component of a new Structural Adjustment Loan (SAL). The Croatian Finance Ministry said in a
statement that during preliminary talks it was agreed that the SAL would support institutional reforms and the implementation of measures for the strengthening of competition at the market and the strengthening of the work market and social welfare net. The expected amount of the loan, which should be discussed during spring after the signing of an arrangement with the International Monetary Fund, is about US$200 million. World Bank representatives will hold talks with Croatian Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac, as well as with ministers of competent ministries, offices and institutions.(hina) it
