NOVI VINODOLSKI, Jan 7 (Hina) - A book, entitled "The Constitutional Court in the Protection of Human Rights", was presented in the northern Adriatic town of Novi Vinodolski on Saturday, on the occasion of the day of this town, where
the Common Law Book, a supreme legal document, unique in mediaeval Europe, regulating relations between princes and common people, was published in 1288. The book includes 15 lectures by the most renowned Croatian and world experts on constitutional law, who participated in an international seminar on the role of constitutional courts, held in Novi Vinodolski and Zagreb last year. The book includes 15 lectures by the most renowned Croatian and
world experts on constitutional law, who participated in an

Jadranko Crnic, a former Constitutional Court president, said the
book would help promote the methods of interpretation of the
Constitution, laws and by-laws and thus help in the establishment
of European law.
Nikola Filipovic, president of the Croatian Institute for Human
Rights, said he was satisfied that Croatian laws and topics which
were relevant for the protection of human rights were being
adjusted to European standards.
